Civil Marriage Ceremonies
Marriage ceremonies are performed on Friday afternoons by appointment only. Our court does not issue marriage licenses. Licenses must be obtained from the Probate Division of Common Pleas Court. Our calendar fills up very quickly, therefore it is recommended that you call several weeks in advance to reserve a date. Ceremonies last approximately fifteen minutes. Witnesses are not required, but you may invite guests if you wish. There is no fee for this ceremony. On the day of the ceremony, you should arrive at the court fifteen minutes prior to your scheduled time. You must bring your marriage license and some type of photo identification. Upon your arrival at the court, please check in at the civil division window in the Clerk’s Office.
